Middle Yough trips are a great tradition of the Benscreek Canoe Club. This 9 mile section of the Youghiogheny River is Class 1+, clean and beautiful. Good for recreational kayaks, canoes and whitewater boats. This is a good trip for beginners to learn and practice moving water skills also for experienced paddlers to keep their skills sharp. Meet at RamCat Put-in at 10 AM to set shuttle. We put on around 11:30. Bring lunch for on the river. Boats do not need to be registered but PFDs are mandatory. Recreational kayakers are urged to have sprayskirts.
