Friday the 21st. First Full Moon Paddle at Quemahoning Reservoir for 2013. We meet around 7 at the beach area. Please bring snacks to share, your own utensils, and folding chairs for sitting around a campfire. We typically paddle a bit before sunset, return and snack, then paddle again to catch the full moon rise. PFDs are mandatory, boats must be registered, you need a whistle. We will provide chem-lights but many people add their own battery powered lights to dress up their boats.
Sunday the 23rd. The first Middle Yough Trip for the summer. Meet at Ramcat Put-in at 10 AM for the car shuttle to the Ohiophyle Take-out. We will launch around 11. This is a great beginner trip on a class II river. Beautiful river and scenery. Bring lunch for on the river. Boats do not need registration. PFDs must be worn.
