PennDOT will be replacing the Carpenter’s Park Bridge across the Stonycreek from 5/30/2014 to 9/4/2014, this will take 12 weeks. This is after the Rendezvous. But will occur during the 2014 summer releases. PennDOT is trying to be helpful; they scheduled the road closure for after the Rendezvous and will provide a portage path for paddlers. Please note that during this construction, there will not be any access to the normal Carpenter’s Park put-in from the west (Rt 403) but access from the east (Rt 56 and Windber) will still be open. We will post info on parking and any updates regarding access as we get them.
Donate to our Whitewater Releases.
Our Rendezvous is our main fundraiser to help pay for Whitewater Releases from Quemahoning Reservoir. We appreciate all of your support and donations that helped us keep the releases going in 2020 and into 2021. Our 2021 Rendezvous was a great success and will go a long way as funding for our releases. But we could still use any donations that our friends could make to make sure we can pay for future releases and maintenance costs.
