Cancelled due to heavy rain and snow melt, Stony is over 5 ft and rising! Not safe! Better luck next year! Again this year we will try to have an evening paddle on the Stonycreek, past the Point to Cambria City to raise money for the Salvation Army. If weather permits we will meet at 5 PM at the 6th St take-out ramp in Cambria City to set car shuttle. Be prepared for paddling in the dark and in potentially cold conditions. We will try to decorate our boats with lights for a Christmas theme. Volunteers are also needed to help collect money for the Salvation Army. Watch the website and Facebook for details and/or changes due to water level or weather.
April 2021 in the time of Covid-19We are still keeping a low profile. Covid is still bad. Paddling is good but please don't socialize without a mask before or after paddling. Hopefully next month will be better. Release on Saturday, April 10th. This is a one day release in order to conserve water for May releases. April meeting of the BCC will be held on Wednesday, April 14, at the Crow's Nest (510 Tire Hill Rd, Johnstown 15905) at 7 PM. Stony Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 24. Meet at Greenhouse Park at 9 AM. We will also have a single day release on this day as well. Too dry for full two day releases.
