April 2021 in the time of Covid-19We are still keeping a low profile. Covid is still bad. Paddling is good but please don't socialize without a mask before or after paddling. Hopefully next month will be better. Release on Saturday, April 10th. This is a one day release in order to conserve water for May releases. April meeting of the BCC will be held on Wednesday, April 14, at the Crow's Nest (510 Tire Hill Rd, Johnstown 15905) at 7 PM. Stony Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 24. Meet at Greenhouse Park at 9 AM. We will also have a single day release on this day as well. Too dry for full two day releases.

Just wanted to send a special thanks to all who made this an Amazing Rendezvous! The Benscreek Canoe Club takes such pride into making this event happen. Special thanks to Mike Cook, Rick Bloom, and Jess Boes the officers that run the works. Along with The past presidents Steve Podratski, Mike Burk, Mike Ringler, and Bruce Penrod who Set the Precedence for the Rendezvous. All the help with the set-up Ron Morris, Andy Shrock, Kirsten Ringler, Zach Georgevich, Greg, Todd Wilson, Gary Johnson, Brian Mahoney,Heather Birch, Eric and Jen Koonts, and all who where there to set-up and tear down.. All the volunteers working the gate, beer and all who kept things in line. Plus REI, Jackson Kayak, RMK, Windber Hotel, Todd Turner, and IR for the auction gifts!
We had wonderful vendors Gourmet to comfort foods, Rocky Mtn Kayak to The favorite Beef Jerkey Guy. Surf SUP, and Coal Tubin’ had a splash! The music was Spectacular! Our events went off well, even with the higher water levels. The Rain gods were looking upon us for sure!
Thanks to everyone that supports the BCC by membership, and coming to these events, and making the Rendezvous happen. We were safe, we were happy, we definitely had a blast! Most important we have the Great memories! Till next year!!!
