After much discussion with Quemahoning Family Recreation officials, we are going to have our Full Moon Paddle on Monday. But there some new rules. We cannot arrive before 8:10 PM, no dogs are allowed, and each vehicle must pay the $5 parking fee.

Moonrise is at 8:26 but it generally doesn’t show over the ridge until about 45 minutes later. All boats must either have a launch permit or registration sticker. PFDs are mandatory and each boat must carry one visible light. We do have chem lights for folks without lights; but many folks add battery powered led light strings to meet the requirement and for fun.  We usually have a fire afterwards and eat snacks.
