THIS TRIP, ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THE 22nd, HAS BEEN POSTPONED A WEEK TO THE 29th DUE TO PREDICTED HIGH WATER.

There will be a Middle Yough Trip on Sunday, June 29th (Rescheduled from the 22nd). Meet at RamCat Parking Lot at 10 AM to set shuttle. We will aim to launch around 11:30. Boats do not need to be registered. PFDs are mandatory and must be worn. Bring lunch for on the river. Take-out at Ohiopyle around 3-4.

This is a beautiful stretch of river with sections of flatwater but also class I-II rapids that are great for beginners learning how to handle moving water with waves and rocks. It is also a great paddle for experienced boaters as well. This trip is mainly for BCC members or folks planning on joining our club.

1. Meet at Ramcat launch by 10AM and dump boats.
2. Drivers will head to the takeout parking lot at 10:30.
3. Drivers should be back at Ramcat around 11AM and we’ll get on the water ASAP.
4. Helmets are not required but recommended.  PFDs ARE required.  Bring fluids, snacks and a lunch.  We’ll stop for lunch about halfway down the river.
5. The weather and river levels look promising at the moment, but if things take a drastic change and the trip gets postponed we’ll update via FB and the club email list.
