Scheduled releases will be on Saturdays and Sundays. Releases start around 7 AM and the river should rise at Faustwell Bridge put-in by 10 AM. Water should start dropping at Faustwell by 2 PM (each day). Water should start to rise around 1 PM at Carpenter’s Park. The 2024 Stonycreek Rendezvous will be held on May 16th-19th. The Rendezvous is an annual whitewater festival hosted by the Benscreek Canoe Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The event is held at Greenhouse Park (Pennsylvania’s first man-made whitewater park) held over three days in May. During the three days of the event, there is live music, food and gear vendors, a whitewater rodeo, downriver race, daily whitewater releases into the Stonycreek from the Quemahoning Dam. Dive into the excitement of Wave Wednesday, our monthly social event where paddlers gather to ride the surf wave while mingling with fellow club members. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the sport, join us for a fun-filled evening of camaraderie and on-the-water action. Beginners can also take advantage of available instruction to enhance their skills and confidence in a supportive environment. Wave Wednesdays are the 1st Wednesday of each month (May-September) 5:30-7:30PM.
