July Meeting

July BCC Meeting this Wednesday (7-17), 6 PM, at the Crow’s Nest. We will be discussing future full moon paddles, Middle Yough trips and the status of the whitewater release valve. All are welcome. Good food, beer and company. Hope to see you there.

Release Cancelled

Que level this AM is under our threshold for a Release. I am inquiring now if we get rain predicted for Wednesday- maybe we can re-visit. As of now though – no release. No measurable rain in Somerset County for 7-9 days now.

Middle Yough Trip

There will be a Middle Yough Trip this Sunday, July 7, led by Mike Burk. Meet at RamCat Parking area at 10 AM to set up shuttle. Put-in around 11:30. Bring lunch for on the river. Boats do not need to be registered but PFDs are mandatory. This is about a 3 hr paddle. This stretch of the Youghiogheny River is a beautiful, class II+ river. Great place for beginners to practice on moving water with some small rapids. A wonderful paddle for more experienced paddlers as well. Enjoy.
